I just started seven
new poems but
I haven’t finished
As some of you may know, as well as being a visual artist, I have a tendency toward writing!
I have published a book of poetry and drawings through lulu.com, and it is now available for purchase! You can check it out here. Or here. Or HERE!
Here is a collection of poems and images by various contemporary writers and artists that I assembled for another of my blogs, basement window. It’s pretty cool, I suggest you check it out!
without much fanfare, or really any permissions from anyone included, here it is!
the official 2012 compendium of basementwindow.tumblr.com! (plus a few other miscellaneous things I read (and liked) this year.)
with work by Mira Gonzalez, Frank Hinton, ao-oa, Ben Nadler, Sydney Anderson,…
Instructions: Please read aloud, pinching your nose with the thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand
Iris Karuna was born March 23, 1989 - on the last possible date [contested by some astrologers] for Aries-Pisces cusp babies. As a result she is comprised of 36% tragicomic, intense, and unpredictable emotions; 55% blind impulse and faulty intuition, and 9% defeatist apologies for all of the previous components. While always sharp-witted and often full of snide remarks, Ms. Karuna is also widely considered to be a ‘good person’ (this does nothing for her love life, however). Half ‘white’ and half ‘South Asian’, her exact lineage is confusing and oft-forgotten, which prompts many children to propose that she is, in fact, a fairy. This is a suggestion that Ms. Karuna never dismisses, which may indeed prove her place in the fairy community, as well as the existence of fairies in general. Nimble in more ways than one, Ms. Karuna is often found making things - with her mind, as well as with her fingers.
